Were 19 days away from Christmas, which is a completely crazy thought. Also, our baby girl turns one month old tomorrow! The balance of it all has been interesting, but honestly, not as crazy stressful as I thought. Nate has been so incredibly sweet and affectionate with her, something thats been so special to witness. I know many of you are interested in a more lengthy post on the 1-2 transition, something I plan to dive into.
Im really excited for this weekend! Tomorrow, I have a few of my girlfriends coming over for dinner and for some much-needed girl time. On Sunday, were also having our other friends come over with their kids. Lots of fun hosting this weekend, something Im really looking forward to. I dont plan to stress myself out, so Ill probably whip up 1-2 things and then pick up a few ready-made things from the store. As long as were all together and theres good background music (an absolute must in my book), something to nibble on and a little wine flowing, well be good.

I love these brown, over-the-knee boots! And not a bad price!
Who else feels the same way about this commercial..?
Alicia of Cheetah is the New Black got a blog facelift and it looks so good. Ive mentioned her before, but weve known each other since the beginning of our blogging days, about 10 years. Its a crazy thought! Her photos and blog still remain one of my favorites. Its also kind of making me want to update my site a little. What do you all think? Is Brooklyn Blonde due for a little makeover?
If youre looking for a knit dress to wear this winter, I love this one. If you find it too short to wear without tights, I also think it would work well with leather-eque leggings.or a pair of opaque tights.
Yesterday, I popped into Sephora to realize that theyre having a promotion for their Rouge members: spend $75 or more and get $25 off. I picked up a few replenishments: my favorite brow pencil (I wear #3), this daytime eye cream and a new eyeliner that I heard was great for the waterline.

Last year, I shared some great ideas for experience gifts. Quite honestly, those are always my favorite types of gifts and what Id want to receive 95% of the time.
Need a fancy gift for that special someone (or for yourself)? I love this Diptyque photophore. For the host or for someone thats hard to shop for, Id definitely consider it a wow gift, especially when paired with one of their candles.

Did you know that Tory Burch was told not to call herself ambitious!?
On parenting: I had a reader recommend the book How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen and I highly recommend it!
Also, the key to raising self-reliant kids.
