Nothing is better than going to the bagel store and getting a fresh hot bagel of course these bagels cannot replace the real deal iconic bagels that we love but these are super simple and quick to make because we are not using yeast waiting for the dough to rise or cooking in a water bath before the final hurrah in the oven. Also, if you are watching your waistline these are the perfect match.
📝Ingredients for 2 Ingredient Dough Bagels:
❥ 2 cups of self rising flour
❥ 2 cup of Greek yogurt
❥ 1/4 cup of egg whites or one egg
❥ Everything But the Bagel Spice
📝Directions for 2 Ingredient Dough Bagels:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Lightly coat the baking sheet with cooking spray to prevent the bagels from sticking.
In a mixer with the dough hook attached, add the yogurt and flour. Kneed on medium speed until combine.once combine kneed it for 5 minutes. On a well floured working station cut the dough into 8 portions. Shape each portion of dough into a ball.
Use your thumbs to make a hole in the center of each ball. Gently pull and stretch until the dough is a uniform sized ring. Repeat with remaining rounds.
Flour your hands as needed. Arrange the shaped bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the egg wash over the bagels. Sprinkle with everything but the bagel spice or whatever you desire to top your bagels with. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
