The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases – 5 March

Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

Are you a fan of Fibre Mood patterns? Well, you’re in for a treat because we now have the individual PDF patterns from the Special No.1 magazine in the shop.

The PDF sewing patterns include seam allowances and projector files if you prefer. You can buy the PDF pattern on its own, or select our copy shop printing and we will pop the pattern in the post to you… easy peasy!

Kate’s pick of the bunch are…
The Fibre Mood Rhonda Top is not just any old blouse. This streamlined top has long panels at the front and back with somewhat shorter side panels. Other eye-catching details include the round neckline, button back, and wide set-in sleeves.
The Fibre Mood Marcia Jacket and Vest is a versatile pattern that can serve as a body warmer, a first-rate (winter) coat, or a lightweight jacket to complete your outfit. Best feature? Sleeves that zip on and off depending on your mood!
The Fibre Mood Lucille Dress accentuates your waist with ties that can be tied at the front or back. Knot it to show off just a hint of midriff. Other features include dolman sleeves with optional elastic and a flared panel skirt for an elegant, beautiful drape. It would be lovely wedding guest attire!
Sizes: Women’s UK 6-28/30

If you are looking for the perfect spring top to sew and wear right now, the Itch to Stitch Coimbra Wrap Top would be a lovely choice. The V-neckline and waist tie create a pleasing silhouette on this wrap top which also has an optional collar. It’s a great sewing pattern for knit fabric lovers!

Sizing: UK 6/8 – 34/364 with regular and full bust options

Format: PDF

Whether you love sewing bags or are ready to be converted, the Sew Over It City Bag Collection is a great set to have in your stash. This collection includes three must-have accessories: a useful card wallet, on-trend bum bag and functional sports bag. They’d be great gifts if you like sewing for loved ones!

The Sew Over It Pippa Dress features a stunning asymmetrical design with decorative buttons (no buttonholes required!) that would be perfect for Coronation celebrations! Use larger buttons for a statement detail, or keep them small for a more delicate look. .

Choose between a mini, midi or maxi length and three sleeve styles for any season: short, 3/4 length or a full-length bell sleeve with elastic at the hem.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32
Format: PDF

We’ve got two great accessory patterns to share from Juliana Martejevs this week! First up is an on-trend Bucket Hat that can be sewn in three sizes, with or without a tie (I love the tie version!). This great unisex accessory works in any season.

The Yasmine Bag delivers on the trend for ruffles and is a fun (and useful) quick-to-make project. There are two sizes to choose from.

Format: PDF with video tutorials (German with English subtitles)
