Happy Manicure Monday - I hope you all had a great weekend! I'm ready for the first Monday in December and I can't wait for a month of Christmas nails!
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links
I feel like this hasn't been my best year for nail art - I always need time and I feel like that's something that's been in short supply this year. But, I'm always the most inspired by the holidays and I'm so excited for Christmas, so I'm really hoping to get lots of nail art in this year!
So, for starters I did these cute gingerbread nails and I looove them - they are so cute! Any suggestions for what you'd like to see the next few weeks?
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish in Gain Mo-Mint-Um
- Smackers polish in Wickedly Stylish
- Maniology nail lacquer in Caramel
- ORLY Instant Artist polish in Crisp White
- LAColor Art Club polish in Red on Red
- ORLY Instant Artist polish in Jet Black
Plus I used a nail art polish brush for all the hand-painted nail art!
For this manicure, I started with a base coat and two coats of light blue polish for the base. Then, I added a white tip to the bottom of each nail for a snowy ground. Then, with the caramel polish and a nail art brush, I freehand drew all the shapes, gingerbread men and houses, and then I filled them all in. For the gingerbread men, I used a white nail art polish for the accents and mouth, red nail art polish for the buttons and black nail art polish for the eyes. For the house, I used the white to add some snow on the roof and accents on the house, then I used red for some candy accents and black for the doorknob. Then, I finished with a nail art top coat!
As always, make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love to see their Christmas nails too!
