January is nearly coming a close, and honestly I’m not mad about it.

I don’t love winter, so I’m just counting down the days until we get warmer temps and abundant sunshine. And frankly, February is the longest month of the year (to me) with dreary, cold days. We get to celebrate Luke’s birthday in February, which makes it special, but I generally don’t love the weather during that month of the year.

I shared a few quick makeup tips on stories this week, and saved them to a highlight if you want to go back and watch, but the key takeaway is that you don’t always need to wear a full face product if you’re looking for light coverage. For example, if you don’t typically wear makeup, maybe opt for a few strategically placed areas of concealer, blended out with a damp beauty blender, instead of a tinted moisturizer. Some people do not like the feel or texture of a foundation product, whether it be full or light coverage, so a great option would be a bit of concealer under the eyes, around the nose, and on and dark spots to help balance the face. I really like the FauxFilter by Hudabeauty but another fantastic option is the Nars radiant creamy concealer!
