I don’t normally have an excuse to put on a cute outfit these days (thanks, 2020!), but before Christmas Liza and I took a fun holiday field trip to Eataly’s newest store in Dallas! It was perfect timing, really, because I was in need of a few last minute gifts before I drove to Austin. If you live in the DFW area, I highly recommend checking out Eataly at Northpark Center! In addition to the best packaged pastas, sauces, truffled oils and more, they have ready-made food, restaurants, a bakery, wine shop and more. Whether you’re shopping for gifts, for your pantry, or just want to grab a bite while at the mall, don’t miss Eataly!!

I bought these leather over-the-knee boots while I was living in London in the Fall of 2015! You can read my first blog post on them here – what a throwback. When the Lowland boot first came out, suede was the only option. I resisted buying them because suede doesn’t hold up as well and is only useful when there’s no possibility of rain, so when I spotted this all-leather version at a department store in London I snapped them up quick. I’ve consistently worn them every winter since, and they truly are the most comfortable boot! They were certainly my most worn shoe while I was living over there, as I could walk all day long in them, regardless of what the weather looked like. In addition to being a solid, comfy travel shoe, I wear them a ton at home too. Even though they’re flat, the streamlined leather look elevates them enough for wearing out to dinner!

The leather Lowland version isn’t always available – in fact I hadn’t seen them offered the past couple of years. In one of the few bright spots of 2020, Stuart Weitzman finally brought them back! If you’re looking for a high-quality, comfortable and stylish boot for the cold weather months, I can’t recommend these enough. They are true to size and stretchy, so they’re meant to have a fitted look!

Another old favorite in this outfit is this Club Monaco sweater! It’s been a repeat style because it’s so popular, and it’s currently on sale for under $100. I love the high, slightly mock neckline and ribbed cuffs on the sleeves. It’s a great length too! It comes in a few other colors, but I find this ivory hue to be the most useful. My coat is MANGO from last year – they have such great budget-friendly styles!
