AFFORDABLE BRIGHT AND CHEERY SPRING FASHION PIECES

Yay!  Spring is here!  Today in lieu of Five Friday Favorites I have some cute clothes to share with you instead.  We are still on a weather roller coaster around here, but I've recently picked up a few new bright and cheery Spring pieces to push my wardrobe on through to sunnier days!   On a recent grocery trip to Walmart this gingham trench style jacket totally caught my eye-

Gingham Trench Coat- already marked down!   ||  Medallion Sandals- under $20!

It's light blue and forest green, the prettiest combo and so versatile-  I wore it here to church one Sunday but it's also so easy to throw on over a t-shirt and jeans or leggings to instantly look put together when running errands.  It's a really thick cotton fabric (not actually water repellant, just the trench coat style) and I'm wearing a M which allows for plenty of room for layering underneath.  If you want a closer fit and don't plan to wear layers underneath, you could size down.

This sweater also instantly caught my eye.  It's a classic designer inspired style, very soft and not too bulky.  Stick with your normal size if you want a streamlined fitted look, but I sized up for a little more room and length at the waist.  This style would be so cute with wide leg pants or jeans or a pencil skirt too!

Here are a few other happy pieces that I really liked as well.  The navy eyelet sleeve t-shirt dress at the top comes in several colors and is really nice in person.  Look at the tortoise shell buckle slides!!  Love!  I've ordered a couple of those too and am anxiously awaiting their arrival.  Also, the yellow short sleeve eyelet dress is on it's way to me.  I had a similar one years ago and wore it out, so excited to find this one! And after I shared this sweater on Instagram a friend there mentioned that she has the similar sweater dress (pictured in yellow below) and that it's a great piece...would be so cute for Easter!

While we're talking Walmart, did you see these adorable bunnies? They were in store and online but virtually sold out before I even knew about them.  However, here's a tip for how I rounded up the ones I wanted...

All of the stores in my large city were sold out and sold out online.  However, I selected pick up in store and expanded my search to smaller towns... where my kids go to college, where my sister lives, etc. and was able to find all that I wanted stocked in those smaller stores!  I purchased and paid online for curbside pickup, added my family members as alternate pickup people, and then they were able to swing by and pick them up for me.  Aren't they the best?  So, I'm not sure what's still currently available but that might be worth trying if you want to search for some.
Similar available here and here

I couldn't leave well enough alone on mine and switched out the ribbon, gingham makes everything cuter!

Happy Spring and have a great weekend, everyone!
